Short historical revue of the Commission

Since its establishment the Commission was involved in the diffusion of Social Doctrine of the Church, publishing documents on this issue.
It was associated to the commemoration of former World Peace Days, on the 1rst January.
It has supported actions on the independence of former Portuguese colony of Timor East from Indonesia.
It has elaborated support documents on Education for Peace to be presented to secondary schools.


Work priorities:

Poverty and social exclusion; income distribution and wealth concentration; migrations and immigrant’s rights; labour, employment and social model; right to justice; prison’s situation; production, commerce and proliferation of arms; entrepreneurial ethics; education for development and peace; political ethic; training on Social Doctrine of the Church; family and peace building; justice and peace culture’s values.
